Know where you stand with a quick NeuroCognitive Evaluation
Our age-normalized neurocognitive evaluation combined with the renowned Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) provides a quick and easy way to know if you already have cognitive decline and to establish a baseline for the future.
For the neurocognitive testing, we use battery of tests from the world leader in neurocognitive testing, CNS Vital Signs. CNS is a leader in the design and development of neurocognitive and behavioral assessment tools and technologies. This part of the evaluation takes about 30 minutes and because it is age-normalized it automatically accounts for age-related declines that are not indicative of the accelerated decline that is associated with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Then you meet with our certified MoCA test administrator who will administer the world-renowned MoCA that will further aid in diagnosing your present state. This will take about 15 minutes.
When this is complete our team will take about 30 minutes to compile the results then you will have a short consultation with one of our practitioners to review the combined results. Then you will know a bit about where you stand.
In many cases, we have seen that the test provides a “sign of relief” if perhaps loved ones not totally familiar with the aging process have expressed concern. In other cases the test can identify early cognitive decline before it is too late. In either case, the test provides a good baseline so that if you take it again in 6-12 months, you can really chart your progress.
There is nothing to be afraid of or concerned about. Putting your head in the sand and hoping that you don’t have cognitive decline isn’t a good approach, especially since with the Bredesen protocol, there is real hope of stopping and even reversing the decline if it has started.
