What is the Myers’™ cocktail?
The Myers’™ cocktail is one of the more commonly known vitamin therapies and is sometimes referred to as the “Wellness” cocktail. It consists of Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin C. People who feel run down, stressed out and fatigued may benefit tremendously from the Myers’™ cocktail. Many report that they feel completely rejuvenated after a single treatment, and the results can last from several days to several months.
What are the side effects of Intravenous Nutritional Therapy?
The most common complications of IV nutritional therapy include pain, irritation, inflammation or bruising at the injection site. Systemic complications such as an allergy to a substance can occur, but this is rare and is associated when using a solution that contains preservatives. The ingredients used in the IV nutritional therapies at Proactive Wellness Centers do not contain any preservatives. In general, these therapies are very safe, well tolerated and pose minimal if any negative side effects.
Is Intravenous Nutritional Therapy covered by medical insurance?
Most of the time IV nutritional therapy is not covered by medical insurance. However, many flexible spending accounts will reimburse for these therapies. A medical invoice or medical necessity letter will be provided upon request.
