The transition began Monday. The restaurant will continue to operate as Vino Bistro for the next several weeks before transforming into Falcon and Fig.

“It has been nearly 8 years since we opened the doors of Vino Bistro in the Village at Leesburg and what an incredible 8 years it's been,” Vino Bistro Owner Michael Pearce, who also runs the The Wine House in the city of Fairfax, said in an email to club members. “We have been incredibly privileged to have been supported by an amazing group of Wine Club members and loyal patrons who have attended our events, from wine festivals to wine tastings and wine dinners, along with other promotions we have hosted over the years. Without such loyal support we would not have made it through the first year of business. Myself and all the team have met such great people and formed friendships with all of you.”

The move has been in the works for several months, Pearce said, adding he’ll be staying on the job for the next few months. Lori Miller, the restaurant’s manager for the past five years, will also be staying on.

According to Pearce’s message, Falcon and Fig aims to “combine elevated dining with curated experiences, including live music and special events.”

One of the new owners is Michelle Reday; several others are also involved in the new group.

“The new owners bring an incredible depth of experience and knowledge in the restaurant industry, which reassures us all of very exciting things to come in this space,” Pearce said in his message. “They will be taking over the operations of Vino Bistro as of Monday … and running all operations as normal under ‘Vino Bistro’ until such a time as they are ready to rebrand and launch their product.”
